One window closes today: NERC's comment period on the Canadian-specific revisions to EOP-012-3. Behind it, a run of FERC information-collection requests has quietly set comment deadlines from mid-September into late October.

The through line: the paperwork behind the paperwork

Nine items arrived in the last seven days, and four of them are FERC information-collection comment requests. Ferc-516, published 2026-08-28, takes comments through 2026-09-28. FERC-725E and Ferc-606 and Ferc-607, both published 2026-08-25, take comments through 2026-09-24. FERC-725S, also published 2026-08-25, runs the longest, through 2026-10-26. NERC opened a window of its own: comments on the Standards Processes Manual Revisions, part of the Modernization of Standard Processes and Procedures Implementation, are due by 2026-10-26.

The rest of the week's arrivals are docket business. FERC accepted an application from GreenGenStorage, LLC, published 2026-08-28, soliciting motions to intervene and protests, and preliminary permit applications from Chugach Electric Association, Inc., published 2026-08-26, and DeepGreen Western Passage SPV LLC, published 2026-08-25, each soliciting comments and motions to intervene. Watched docket ER25-2438 also picked up FERC Issuance 20260824-3069.
